2010 Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC - the most efficient and safest S-Class ever
Mercedes has released the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S 350 BlueTEC, announcing it the most efficient and safest S-Class ever. Boasting an amazing levels of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions - 6.8 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres in combined cycle and CO2 emissions of 177 grammes per kilometre – the new 2010 diesel model is eleven percent more economical than its predecessor, and at the same time its output is ten percent higher at 258 horsepower (190 kW) and 620 Nm of peak torque. Another stunning highlight of the new S 350 BlueTEC is that the ride already complies with the emission levels scheduled for 2014 with the introduction of the EU 6 standard.
For 2010, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class BlueTEC also benefits from technologies such as Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist as well as Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system, standard for the top-performance S 65 AMG model. Its highly efficient and clean V6 diesel powerplant assures the luxury saloon of remarkable driving experience, with acceleration sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds flat and a V-max of 250 km/h (electronically limited).
The BlueTEC technology incorporated in the refined 2010 large sedan is exclusively developed by Mercedes-Benz and is aimed to reduce significantly the emissions in the brand's diesel rides. It uses an aqueous urea solution called AdBlue®, which is injected into the ride's exhaust flow, releasing ammonia that converts up to 80 percent of the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water in the downstream SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalytic converter. As an end result, the 2010 S 350 BlueTEC already complies with the emission levels which are planned for 2014 with the introduction of the EU 6 standard.
The 2010 Mercedes-Benz S 350 BlueTEC is now available at the brand's dealerships at the price of 76,279.00 Euro.
