Lexus with revised IS range at 2010 Paris Motor Show
Lexus has announced its plans to reveal an enhanced IS lineup at the upcoming Paris Motor Show next week. The new revised IS range has undergone its most significant changes since the current generation model was presented in 2005.
Representing more than just another beautified ride, the MY2011 Lexus IS is ready to offer its passengers more joyful ride, eco-friendliness and of course appealing prospect.
At main place in the revised range is the new IS 200d. Replacing the previous IS 220d, the new ride now achieves better fuel economy, lower emissions and reduced tax bills. Boasting a new 148 horsepower version of the 2.2-litre diesel engine, the IS 200d SE's price starts at 24,350 GBP on the road.
The renowned IS 250 and IS 250C coupe-convertible have also what to show. Their V6 petrol power unit linked to a six-speed automatic transmission has been revised to meet the future Euro5 emissions standards, without any loses in performance.
In addition to the inner enhancements, all IS models fitted with the high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights now benefits from LED daytime running lights. New rim designs, rear light shapes and wider range of exterior shades add even deeper sense of style and exclusiveness.
The top-performance F-Sport grade for both, the IS 250 and 220d models now sports new, deeper front spoiler with faired-in fog lights, new grille design and a rear spoiler with integrated stop light. Its newly-shaped 18-inch light-alloys shines in dark silver shade with black centre Lexus roundel, directly inspired by the IS F.
Inside the cockpit, the sports factor continues with F-Sport steering wheel, gear lever and sports pedals as well as front seats finished fresh combination of leather and Alcantara. Extra touches of titanium-effect trim and a dark, anthracite roof liner are also introduced.
