2011 VW CrossPolo - the range is completed
Volkswagen is showcasing the 2011 VW CrossPolo, an amazingly versatile all-terrain, compact ride, which excels at superb comfort and matchless efficiency. The new generation CrossPolo will make its grand premiere at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland and will complete the mighty Polo lineup as a fourth model.
For the newcomer's powering, Volkswagen is offering a highly-efficient engine lineup, which is consist of three petrol and three common rail TDI power units with performance outputs between 51 kW / 70 PS and 77 kW / 105 PS. Three of the six engines will be available with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The exterior design of the new generation 5-door CrossPolo stands out with many exclusive highlights and original details. One of the most distinctive features is the individually sculpted front apron – in anthracite shade - with integrated front fog lights and large honeycomb air inlet at the centre, which lower part is completed by a section in light silver trimed like a underbody protection unit. The other front end elements benefit from the classic Polo styling. The side profile of the CrossPolo renders a sporty black wheelarch extensions and coordinated body sills designed to protect the car from damage in off-road driving. A 17-inch alloy wheels set in 5-spoke "Budapest" design fitted with tyres in size 215/40 categorically underlines the robust stance of compact CrossPolo. At the rear, the rugged line is continued with a bumper, whose lower section is also designed in a black, rugged plastic. At its centre, a separate section painted in silver catches the eye that is styled to look like a diffuser.
On the inside, the vigor new CrossPolo is styled with pleasurable two-tone fabrics design upholstery, new sport seats, striking steering-wheel with brushed chrome spokes, leather-trimmed parking brake handle and Slush" technology finished instrument panel. Volkswagen is also offering up to four different interior colour variations, depending on the exterior shade.
Also standard on the new off-roader is: electric adjustable and heated door mirrors, electric window lifts all around, illuminated make-up mirrors in the sun visors, multi-function display (MFA) including tyre pressure monitoring (tyre pressure monitoring system, TPMS) and central locking with RF remote control.
