Audi has announced the 2012 R8 Exclusive Selection Editions, which will be produced solely for the US market. The manufacturer will make several kinds of the special edition R8 and only 20 units - R8 V8 and 30 units - R8 V10 vehicles will be produced.

The R8s will come in Daytona Gray matte exterior, a black grille surround, a carbon fiber exterior including splitter and diffuser, red brake calipers, 19" 5-arm titanium double spoke wheels wrapped in high-performance tires, black exhaust tips and the tail lamps from the R8 GT.

The interior boasts an exclusive leather finish with Crimson Red elements and contrast stitching. There is also a new multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather. A SAT NAV system is also present.

The V8 versions will come with 4.2 liter FSI engine with 436HP (320 kW) at 7900RPM and 427Nm (316 lb-ft) of torque at just 4500RPM.

The V10 models will have Ibis white finish with a Brilliant Black look for the exterior mirrors, sideblade, rear license plate surround, along with 19" bi-color e-Tron wheels and the R8 GT tail lamps.

The interior features a new steering wheel, Navigation surround, carbon fiber cockpit and some white elements.

The engine is a 5.2 liter FSI with 532HP (391 kW) at 8000RPM and 529Nm (391 lb-ft) at 6500RPM.

Both models come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the automatic R-tronic transmission is available as an option.
