Fiat premieres its 2012MY 500 at LA Auto Show
Fiat is celebrating its grand return to the North American scene with a new, 2012 Fiat 500 model at the LA Auto Show, which will run from 17 to 28 November. Showcasing the renowned Italian sense of exclusive motoring, the new Fiat 500 is aimed at satisfying the new generations of Americans who want a head-turning, iconic, ecologically sustainable and hi-tech ride that reflects their own style.
The sleek, compact 4-seater will be available across brand's dealerships in the US at a starting price tag of 15,500 USD and will be manufactured in Mexico. Standard, the urban cruiser will sport a brand-new 1.4-liters MultiAir powerplant, innovative Blue&Me hands-free communication system, seven airbags (two in front, two window-bags, two side bags and one for protecting the knees), reactive head restraints, as well as a brand-new six-speed automatic transmission.
The new Italian seducer will be available in three different trim levels (Pop, Sport and Lounge), one engine type - 101 HP 1.4 MultiAir, 14 exterior shades (metallic, pastel colors and with pearly triple-coat finishes), 14 color combinations and materials for the seats, two interiors (black or ivory) and a complete line of exclusive accessories designed by Mopar to further customize one's car, including: decal packages, stylish accessories for interiors and exteriors and merchandising in original Fiat style available at local dealers.
Unmatched highlight in the fresh 2012 Fiat 500 is also the presence of the Blue&Me Tom-Tom, the multifunctional portable navigation system with an original design developed especially for the model with an innovative vehicle integration technology. Furthermore, buyers will be offered a choice to add a free eco:Drive software application that collects the journey data through the Blue&Me interface of the car and analyses them to give the user handy personalized tips to cut travel costs and the environmental impact of his driving style.
