2015 Toyota Fortuner: Modern, Flexible and Powerful
Toyota's latest seven-seater, the Fortuner comes with sweet SUV comfort and style, while at the same time provides incredible off-road performance. Drivetrain system
Fortuner is the seventh Toyota SUV and will join the ever-expanding lineup of RAV4, Kluger, FJ Cruiser and LandCruiser. It will be available with GX, GLX and Crusade trim levels which are powered by the powerful 2.8-liter four-cylinder direct-injection turbo-diesel unit and will be paired either to a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
This combination allows the machine to produce a total of 176 hp (130 kW) and 450 Nm of torque for the automatic and 420 for the manual version. The fuel consumption is measured at 7,8 liters/100 km for the manual and 8,6 for the automatic gearbox.
Safety features
One more time Toyota team expects the highest rates when it comes to safe drive. The machine comes with seven airbags, reverse camera, trailer sway control, hill start assist control. The vehicle comes with active traction control and two ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
Additional equipment
The list of standard features is now extended and includes durable fabric seat-coverings, projector-style headlamps, LED tail-lamps, air-conditioned cool box, Bluetooth connectivity, six speakers and eco and power drive modes.

In fact, the mid-range GXL is geared with alloy wheels, keyless smart entry and start, roof rails, reverse parking sensors, fog lamps and downhill assist control. And if ordered with manual gearbox, the vehicle offers and innovative intelligent unit that matches engine revolutions to transmission speed for even smoother shifting, which, in fact, is done with the paddle shifters. Cool, right?
On the other hand, top-of-the-range Crusade offers and even more premium features. For example, the leather-accented interior, satellite navigation, power tailgate, climate-control, air conditioning, bi-LED headlamps and special 18-inch alloy wheels.
