2016 Audi A6 Allroad: Will It Endure the Winter Challenges?
The confidently-looking and performing Audi A6 allroad has already been named as one of the most effective and flexible solutions against the challenging driving conditions. And this should not surprise anyone. Recently demonstrated, the special A6 model comes with world to conquer in mind. Let's check out what it has to offer.
Improved design
Along with the well-known Audi appearance the A6 allroad offers four-level air suspension, full LED headlights that replace the bi-xenon standard lights, dynamic LED turn signals. The engineering team also geared the sweetie with distinctive 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with titanium finish, heated folding mirrors and tons of additional exterior components.
On the other hand, the interior the sports sedan is completely dominated by Valcona leather with full electric adjustment and luxurious Alcantara door inserts. Driver and passengers can also benefit from the Audi Music Interface, powered tailgate operation, Audi parking system and luxurious four-zone air conditioning.
Enhanced flexibility and stability
The adaptive air suspension is now standard feature in the A6 allroad and brings superior smoothness and enhanced flexibility in roads and some complex road situations. It also includes a choice of two selectable modes: dynamic and comfort that adjust the suspension so it reduces aerodynamic drag at speeds above 133km/h (74mph) by lowering the body with 15mm. And when required, the system can lift the body with 10mm.
Also, the driver can easily monitor the impressive 20 degrees slope angle and 17 degrees ramp angle capability by the tilt angle display at the central MMI screen. The Hill Hold Assist and Hill Descent Control are now also part of the standard equipment.

Extended engine range
There is a choice of a total three EU6-compliant six-cylinder TDI power units. They offer respectively 218hp (160kW) and 272hp (200kW) models paired to a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch gearbox and a 320hp (235kW) and 650Nm of power output beast, mated to a eight-speed tiptronic transmission.
