First Baojun 630 rolls off the production line
SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), one of the GM's China joint ventures has reported today that its first Baojun 630 passenger car has rolled off the production line.
Baojun is a new brand for affordable vehicles, which will be exclusively sold on the Chinese auto market, and the Baojun 630 represents the first model that is scheduled for launch in early 2011 through a new network of dedicated Baojun dealers.
It is developed using proven GM technology utilizing highly efficient powertrain that complies all local emission standards as well as the advanced Euro IV standard.
The Baojun 630 model will be manufactured at the SGMW's plant in Liuzhou, which has an initial annual capacity of more than 100,000 vehicles.
