Barrett-Jackson and ROUSH announces unique pony ride
The famous pony car expert ROUSH Performance and the collector car auction company Barrett-Jackson have collaborated together to present a special-edition, mega-potent ride dubbed Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang. The masculine eye-catcher will find its owner at No Reserve during the 8th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm Beach on April 1-3, 2010, at the Americraft Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds.
The unique Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang is shaded in sleek "Back in Black" metallic paint spiced up with "Red Hot Chili Pepper" stripes on the front. The teased vehicle is the first of a very limited run of only 25 units worldwide, which will be based on the 2010 Mustang chassis. Additional 25 units will be manufactured with 2011 Ford Mustang as a basis.
The limited edition ‘Stang packs under its hood a R2300 ROUSHcharger backed by several special internal components such as new pistons and crankshaft, which boost the car's output figures to 540 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. An astonishing 20-inch chrome wheels set wrapped in high-performance Cooper RS3 tires contribute for unmistakable athletic stance. Furthermore, a suspension package equips the ride with ROUSH front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear stabilizer bars and jounce bumpers.
The exclusive character of the Barrett-Jackson Edition ROUSH Mustang is further emphasized by custom body components including new resonator exhaust for a deep V8 rumble, four-piston front brakes with 14-inch rotors and painted rear calipers with slotted rotors, new upper and lower billet grille that removes the fog lamps and improves the cooling performance. Inside, the all-new ‘Stang benefits from fully restyled cabin ambience, which renders leather seats with embroidered Barrett-Jackson logo, four-piece performance pedals, ROUSH illuminated sill plates, short throw shifter with black or white ball and a new interior badge with the serial number engraved.
