Citroën Is To Unveil C4 Cactus Special Edition At Geneva Show. What Should We Expect?
The new Citroën C4 Cactus Rip Curl Special Edition will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show and as expected, the brand will showcase tons of gadgets and improvements, one of which will also make its debut: the Grip Control system, especially created to improve traction and enhance the performance rates of the new C4 Cactus. So, let's see what is going on here.
Grip Control – more traction and more flexibility
This is maybe the most important addition in the new C4 Cactus. Along with the powerful engine, paired to performance-oriented transmission (Pure Tech 110 S&S manual and Blue HDi 100 manual), this sweetie features and special Mud & Snow tires to set the stage for Grip Control System.
This innovative system will grant buyers with intelligent traction in off-road mode that uses advanced anti-skid function, which manages the traction from the front wheels. The system itself offers a total of four (five, if we count the Off function) modes:
Standard: this one will help to drive along sun-drenched cast roads, sweeping mountain bends, long stretches of motorway or some city-centre roads. Especially fine-tuned to be used in standard road conditions, the mode also lets the Grip Control system adapt automatically, depending on the road condition.
Sand: as name suggests, this one will aid the driver along sand or loose ground and will also reduce the risk of being bogged down. Sweet.
Off-Road: versatile in all types of slippery surfaces, this one transfers the optimal amount of torque to the wheels with most grip.
Snow: the right choice for going to some appealing ski resort. This mode adapts traction of each driven wheel to the slippery and challenging winter conditions and ensures smooth, yet flexible ride.
Design and style
Citroën C4 Cactus Rip Curl proudly demonstrates beautiful, yet aggressive design. The special edition is both contemporary looking and dynamic. This distinctive look is thanks to the white door mirrors, white roof-bars and white vertical strip on the wings. All this blended with rear aluminum-colored plates, Airbump technology with black panels and wide range of exterior colors that include Tapenade Grey, Obsidian Black, Sport Red, Arctic Steel and Pearl White.

The interior
C4 Cactus Rip Curl's cabin welcomes everyone to a rather comfortable and functional place. The orange safety belts contrast with the interior finish of Mica Gray or the optional black part-leather upholstery.
In terms of equipment, the Special Edition comes with rear parking sensor and camera, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and front wipes, navigation system, 6-speaker MP3 audio system, cruise control/speed limiter and tinted windows. Cool, right?
