Unichip Europe offers U-Connect plug and play ECU upgrade for the 2.2 litre Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4.

After the upgrade, the 2.2 litre four cylinder, common-rail engine produces 180 bhp at 3164RPM and 488 Nm of torque at just 2346RPM. This means an increase of 20bhp and 70 Nm (54lb-ft).

Unichip Uni-Q ECU map doesn't harm at all to the the car's 42 mpg combined fuel economy. Actually, the fuel consumption is lower with 5 to 10 per cent compared to standard.

The device is priced at at £478.10 including VAT. It suits both manual and automatic transmission variants of the Land Rover Freelander TD4 produced from 2006 onwards.
