European price list of Nissan Leaf – Zero-emission vehicle
Nissan International SA informed that Leaf – Zero-emission car is priced under 30 000 Euros ( 25,641 Pounds) and it will hit the European markets in July. The company also announced specific prices for the Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, UK and Portugal.
Nissan Leaf is a compact, zero-emission five-seater, which is fully equipped and features AC, sat NAV, a parking camera, a quick charge socket and innovative smart-phone connectivity.
Simon Thomas, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Nissan International SA said : "Nissan leads the industry by being the first automaker to offer an affordable zero-emission car. It's a pure electric vehicle, with no tailpipe emissions and very low running costs. Nissan LEAF may look similar to a compact family car, but its smoothness, acceleration and handling will surprise and impress drivers and passengers alike,".
The price in the United Kingdom is only 28 350 Pounds including the battery. The UK government announced that it will refund 5 000 Pounds for everyone, who purchase pure electric vehicle like Leaf.
The subsidies in the Netherlands are 6 000 Euro and the price of Nissan Leaf is 32 839 Euros.
Price tag in the Republic of Ireland is 29 995 Euros after 5 000 Euros in government incentives.
The price in Portugal is 29 955 Euros. Portuguese customers owning the Nissan LEAF benefit from road tax exemption.
Nissan plans to make Leaf model available in every major Western European country by the end of next year.
