48-liter gallon fuel tank on Ford CrewCab? Yes, please!
2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty, believed to be the toughest, smartest and most versatile Super Duty vehicle that brand has ever produced, receives additional goodies. More precisely, it is just one, but a massive one: a 48-gallon fuel tank. Ford engineers' idea is to reduce the fill-ups and allow drivers to have more time to get the job done.
And thanks to the new long-box CrewCab longer wheelbase and wide track, compared to old models, the new tank fits between frame and driveshaft. This one is exactly 37 per cent larger than the 2016 model and is built from light-weight materials as high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy. Definitely a badass addition.

Ford team has also geared new and better fuel filter and water separator filter that together allow longer change intervals and reduce time and money spent on maintenance. Basically, the idea is to make the Super Duty spend more time on the road and get more job done.
As it seems to me, Ford has done some superior work with the entire F-Series lineup. We got all these powerful and monstrous vehicles with ever-evolving features and systems and we should say that we are quite happy to know there is someone to deal with the heavy duty work.
And when do we get one of these toys? Ford promises to start purchases in fall 2016.
