Hyundai Runs EURO 2008 “Before Service” Campaign
In conjunction with the UEFA EURO 2008™ football tournament being hosted by Switzerland and Austria this month, Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea's largest automaker, is offering?EURO 2008 Before Service?in eight host cities from June 6~29.
Free service centers have been set up at gas stations and shopping malls where not only Hyundai customers, but other car brand owners will be able to have their cars checked by qualified technicians. Hyundai will also hand out souvenirs and promotional coupons that can be used at Hyundai dealerships across the continent.
Hyundai plans to expand the "Before Service" campaign across Europe and use the program to upgrade its service network and boost its brand image. The service program is expected to contribute to increased sales and secure Hyundai's position as a leading global automaker.
The free service stations will also be used to display new models and will provide existing and potential customers with an opportunity to test drive the company's latest models so they can experience first-hand the high quality and superior performance of Hyundai vehicles.
Additionally, Hyundai has designated a dealer in each of the eight host cities which will specifically cater to the 265 official vehicles the company has supplied for the EURO 2008 tournament. As the automotive partner of Europe's greatest sporting event, Hyundai is supplying cars to the teams, UEFA officials, VIPs, media members and opinion leaders during the games. The designated dealers will be ready to deal with any emergency situation related to the vehicles.
"Before Service," which was first implemented in the Korean market by Hyundai in 2006, is currently being offered in China, India and Turkey, and will be expanded to other countries. Unlike the passive "Aftersales Service," "Before Service" strives to be active and provide reassurance to the customer. But the ultimate purpose of "Before Service" is to educate customers on how to conduct simple inspections of their vehicles which will prevent breakdowns on the road and contribute to a safer, more enjoyable driving culture.
