Jeep and Mopar Reveal Six New Concepts for 47th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari
Jeep will exhibit a range of extreme Concepts at the 47th Annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, taking place March 23-31. Tthe Easter Jeep Safari will be attended by thousands of die-hard off-road enthusiasts looking to enjoy a week of wheeling on some of the country's most famous and challenging trails.
First is the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II concept, which boasts a blood-orange exterior with a matte black roof and custom roof rails. There's also SRT-inspired body work and 17" alloy wheels with 35-inch Mickey Thompson off-road tires. It is powered by a 3.0 liter EcoDiesel V6 engine with 240HP (179 kW) and 569Nm (420 lb-ft).
Second is the Wrangler Mopar Recon powered by a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 with 470HP (350 kW). It is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The Concept boasts "Stinger" bumpers, a 4.5" lift kit, LED headlights and beadlock wheels with 39" off-road tires.
The Wrangler Stitch is based on the Wrangler Rubicon. It has been stripped of non-essential equipment in order to have a 1360 kg (3,000 lb) curb weight. There is also a carbon fiber hood, a roll cage and a variety of aluminum components. The windshield has been chopped and rear body panels and seats are from the SRT Viper.
Fourth is the Wrangler Sand Trooper II boasting a rugged appearance with heavy duty bumpers, a Warn winch and Mopar fenders. There is also a ventilated front hood, LED DRLs and 40" off-road tires. It is powered by a 5.7 liter HEMI V8 with 375HP (280 kW) and 542Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque.
The fifth concept is Wrangler Flattop having a metallic sandstone exterior with a chopped windscreen and a custom windowless hard top. The interior boasts Katzkin leather seats, copper accents and Mopar mats.
Last, but not least is the Wrangler Slim. It comes with new front and rear bumpers, a pair of rock rails and 2" lift kit. There is also a CAI and black leather seats.
