Meet the latest Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet which offers luxurious open-air experience and the pleasure of riding a car powered by a biturbo AMG V8 engine. The unit is offered with two power outputs: 350 kW (476 hp) or 375 kW (510 hp). The extreme horsepower is emphasized with the looks of the cabrio, including its flared wheel arches at the front and rear, the wide track and the large wheels. The driving dynamics are backed up by the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping adjustment, the rear-axle limited-slip differential as well as the dynamic engine mounts.
More Details about the V8 Biturbo Engine
What makes the new C63 so exclusive and even competitive on the race track? The answer is of course its unique biturbo unit. Exceptional in every aspect the 8-cylinder Mercedes‑AMG powerplant will definitely cover the expectations of those who desire a combination of a highly emotive, soundy and torquey power delivery.

As mentioned, there are two variants for the power output of the car: the higher is of the C63 S Cabriolet, which by the way is capapble of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.1 seconds. On the other hand, its not so powerful sibling does this within an extra 0.1 second. The top speed for both is 250 km/h and it is electronically limited. If one opts for the AMG Driver's Package, the top speed rises to 280 km/h.
Another interesting fact is that the engine also powers the C63 Saloon, Estate and Coupe as well as the GT sports car. Its characteristic feature is that the two turbochargers are positioned not on the outside of the cylinder banks, but between them in the "V", or as the experts call it: the "hot inside V". This is of course not meaningless, but offers many benefits for the engine like its compact construction, optimal response and low exhaust gas emissions.
Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet Models has just made its New York International Auto Show debut. It will have a market launch in August this year.
