Petty's Garage Shows Why Their Latest Mustang is Named King
Bringing the tremendous 727 horsepower, the sweet Petty's Garage 2016 Mustang GT King Edition is here to demonstrate why it earned that nickname. As you might know, Petty's Garage is the in-house speed shop of NASCAR legend Richard Petty and now he and his crew return with the limited edition of the heavily modified Mustang GT.
This sweetie comes in three editions and exact numbers: 243 King models, 43 King Premier and 14 King Premier Convertibles.

So, what makes them so special besides being limited? First of all, the drivetrain system. Petty's Garage enhances the Ford Performance stock 5.0-liter V8 engine. The additions are 235 hp (172 kW) that result on total of 670 hp (492 kW), custom engine calibration, cold-air intake and MagnaFlow exhaust. Furthermore Petty's engineers added extreme-duty TrakPak Ford Performance halfshafts, three-way adjustable front and rear sway bars and a rear axle upgrade.
And in addition to the performance-oriented additions, the crew also included custom rear diffuser with Richard Petty-designed central exhaust, shift know, sill plates, floor mats and of course, the King signs on a special dash plate.
In fact, the King Premier edition comes with HRE/Petty's Garage wheels and a special brake modification that includes a total of six-piston front brakes and four-piston rears and custom leather interior. The vehicle also comes with custom tri-color stripe package that includes blue, red and white stripes. There are also optional fine-tunings for the wheel bushing, coil-over racing suspension and the supercharged engine.
