Seat Ibiza ST offers attractive design and practicality
This is the estate version of Seat Ibiza, which makes it the third body style in the compact line-up from the Spanish manufacturer. It is a perfect vehicle for young people with sporty lifestyle. There are six engine variations and wide range of options and technologies. The market launch is scheduled for May. The length of Ibiza ST is 4.23 metres, which makes the vehicle 18 cm longer than the 5-door version. ST gives plenty of load space – 430 litres and additionally the rear seat can be folded or splitted to ensure 1 164 litres. The entire bodyshell is built with awesome precision and stiffness that distinguishes SEAT cars.
Seat Ibiza ST will be available with a choice between three petrol and three TDI engines with common-rail technology. Four of the six engines feature direct injection and turbocharging. The output range is between 70 and 105 hp. The 7-speed DSG transmission is available as an option.
Among the options, Seat offers fog lamps with static cornering light at speeds lower than 40 km/h. Furthermore, Ibiza ST Sport features bi-xenon headlamps incorporating AFS Technology - Adaptive Front lighting System. This incorporates two additional functions - active curve illumination and daytime running lights.
The measures of ST are – 4.23 m in length, 2.46 m wheelbase, 1.69 m width and height 1.44 m.
There is a wide range of available colours - Blanco Candy, Rojo Emoción, Negro Mágico, Gris Luna, Gris Track, Azul Ada, Balea, Azul Nayara and Rojo Dakota. As an alternative, SEAT also offers three custom colours, called Speed Blue, Boal and Tribu.
The engine range start with 1.2 liter 3 cylinder petrol engine. The second more powerful is 1.4 16V. The third one is the top-of-range 1.2 TSI engine with 105 hp and 175 Nm of torque. The three diesel engines are 1.2 TDI, 1.4 TDI with 90hp and 1.4TDI with 105 hp.

The electronic stability program – ESP comes as standard and engines with over 100 hp are combined with the electronic differential lock – XDS.
The turning circle of Ibiza ST is only 10.48 metres, which makes the car excellent to park or manoeuvre. The front track measures 1 465 mm.
Seat Ibiza ST Reference stands on 15" steel rims fitted with 175/70 R15 tyres. The Style has 15" alloy wheels with 185/60 R15 tyres. ST Sport is equipped with 16" wheels clad in 215/45 R16 rubber. Of course, as an option Seat can deliver – 15" for Reference, 16" for Style and dynamic 17" wheels for Sport.
There are three available trim levels for Seat Ibiza ST – Reference, Style and Sport.
The standard equipment for ST Reference includes ESP with a hill start assistant and tyre pressure monitor, state-of-the-art head/thorax airbags for the driver and front-seat passenger and Isofix anchors for child seats on the two rear outer seats. The comfort of the occupants is ensured by electric windows at the front, an axially and vertically adjustable steering column, height-adjustable driver's seat, outside temperature display, radio with four speakers, steering wheel with operating units, air conditioning, a 12-volt socket and central locking. There are also a storage bin beneath the load surface and the roof rail, which make the Ibiza ST Reference a highly versatile companion for everyday and leisure use.
The second trim level – Style features Climatronic, fog lamps with cornering lights, headlamps with a "coming home" function, electrically folding and adjustable heated wing mirrors, electric windows, a chrome roof rail, a height adjustable front passenger seat, 15-inch wheels, wing mirrors and door handles in body colour, leather steering wheel and gear knob, a speed control system and an on-board computer. A split rear seat back and an audio system with 6 speakers and a stand-alone control module are also standard.
Ibiza ST Sport has 16" alloy wheels fitted with 215/45 tyres and stiffened suspension setup. Sports seats are also standard in the ST Sport, as is dark-tinted glass for the rear windscreen.
Additional equipment packages are available for Reference, Style and Sport lines. SEAT offers the Comfortdrive package for the ST Reference that includes fog lamps with cornering lights and heated wing mirrors. It also can be equipped with 15" alloys wheels and preparation for the portable navigation system. The options for Style and Sport are 16" alloys (Style) and 17" rims (Sport). There are also leather sports seats, USB and Bluetooth interfaces and an electric panorama sliding roof. Other available packages are Design, Storage and Technology. There is also Winter package, which incorporates heated nozzles for the windscreen wipers, headlamp wash system and heated front seats. Bi-xenon headlamps with AFS are reserved exclusively for the Ibiza ST Sport.
