Skoda Fabia vRS+ and Octavia vRS+ at 2010 Worthersee
Skoda Auto presented several vehicles at the GTI Worthersee tuning event which was held between 12th and 15th May in Austria. Some of the displayed cars were two tuned Fabia vRS+ and Octavia vRS+. Two Fabia S2000 race cars are also exhibited.
The Fabia vRS+ concept is based on the new Fabia vRS. It features included the headlamps and the radiator grille. Additionally, the car has black spoilers and diffusers, and the bonnet is decorated with visible air intakes. The interior, including sports seats, comes with new materials in the exclusive colours of this concept car.
"The adapted version of the Fabia vRS shows off the characteristically pure and clear build of the Fabia's body, such as the separation of the roof by arranging the windows in a continuous line. The two-colour combination highlights the car's unique architecture – the green colour is a reference to our involvement in the IRC rally programme and the unique connection with the Fabia Super 2000. The grey represents the vehicle's sporty expression and simplicity combined with design details.", said Jozef Kabaň, Head of Design at Škoda Auto.
"The objective of the Octavia vRS+ concept car is to stress the attractiveness and unique character of the Octavia vRS model line. The two-colour paint and adhesive foils typify the car's elegance, and the spoiler kit emphasises the sporty expression of this vehicle. The features that give the Octavia vRS+ a striking look include black-tinted headlamps and integrated LED-based taillights, as well as new materials and colours used in the interior.", added Mr Jozef Kabaň.
The other presented cars are two liveried up Fabia Super 2000 rally cars among with their pilots - Mattias Kahle, who is supported by Škoda Auto Deutschland, and Raimund Baumschlager of BRR, a private team.
Škoda Motorsport currently dominates the IRC series.
