The engine is the well-known 2.5 liter 16V turbocharged boxer with Dual Active Valve Control. It delivers 300PS at 6000RPM and 407Nm at just 4000RPM. Volkswagen released the first details and pictures of the facelifted 2011 Eos.
It features a new front and rear bumper, modified headlights, a revised grille, and LED taillights. Lotus unveiled the City Car Concept, which is a 3-door, four-seat compact car with hybrid system.
Despite of the enormous weight for such a small car - 1 400kg, it has satisfying performance characteristic. The total power output is 220 PS (162kW) and 240Nm, although the continuous power figure is a more modest 54 kW (73 PS). The 1.2 liter petrol engine can run also on ethanol and methanol. The engine produces power for the electric motor alone and doesn't drive the car on its own.
