Dario Franchitti who is a three-time Indianapolis 500 winner will be driving the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Indy 500 Pace Car at the Indianapolis 500 in May. In fact, for the eight time a Camaro becomes the official pace car for the show, with a first appearance in 1967.

Callaway has released full details about their upgrade package for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. The package includes mainly performance upgrades and some styling modifications.
The 7.0 liter supercharged V8 is boosted to 660HP (486 kW) and 840Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque, which is an increase of 150HP and 190Nm. The engine is connected to 6-speed manual gearbox. 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and ¼ mile in 11.5 seconds with terminal speed of 199 km/h (124 mph).

A very strange problem occurred with the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. As we well know, the performance car is extremely fast, so fast even that it provides more traction than the wheels can handle.
The engineers noticed that the wheels rotate inside the tire, which kind of unexpected challenge that requires fast thinking. Obviously the main reason are brakes, which provide excessive stopping power.

Chevrolet has unveiled the Camaro Z 28 R Race Car. It will make its official debut in a 2.5-hour endurance race ahead of the 52nd Rolex 24 At Daytona. It will be one of the most production-based competitors on the track, sharing aero, engine and even axle components with the new 2014 Camaro Z 28.
