The team conducted computational analysis and scale-model wind tunnel testing to help give the new body the airflow management characteristics. The new aerodynamic elements include integrated front splitter, dual blow-out (“burst”) panels, and safety devices that relieve underbody pressure. As a result, the Funny Car accelerates from 0 to 330 mph in less than 4 seconds – and in a mere 1,000 feet.
