2016 GMC Canyon SLE features an all-new turbo-diesel powertrain, which enables unmatched 7,700 pounds (3,492 kg) trailering capability. The new 2.8L Duramax diesel produces 181 horsepower (135 kW) and 369 lb-ft of torque (500 Nm), but still delivers great highway fuel economy. In addition, it is the cleanest diesel truck engine ever created from General Motors.
