Nissan has announced that the manufacturing process of its all-new urban mini hatchback ride 2011 Nissan Micra has started. Fully manufactured in India at the Oragadam plant, near Chennai, the efficient supermini boasts re-styled exterior, more spacious interior and a choice of two all-new powerplants – a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with 80 horsepower (59kW) and 108 Nm of max torque, and a supercharged 1.2-litre block with direct injection and start/stop system, which produces 98 horsepower (72kW) and 142Nm of torque.From today, the all-new global minicar will be available for pre-order and exclusive preview at the Nissan showrooms in India. A 2011 Nissan Micra can be booked at the price of INR 50,000 (approximately 1,100 US dollars). The official sales for the small ride will start in July 2010.Mr. Abhijeet Pandit, Vice President (Operations) -Hover Automotive India shared: "It is a unique opportunity provided by us to display our cars well before the actual launch.
