Ferrari has announced the new 458 Italia Grand Am race car, which is even more fast and brutal version than the magnificent road model. The car has been developed in conjunction with Michelotto Automobili, based on the GT3 version of the V8 Ferrari berlinetta, with the aim of racing in the famous North American series.
The car meets also safety and performance regulations, so it features the same 4.5 liter hi-revving V8 engine, but with 500PS (368 kW). The reducing of power is because of the

Ferrari FF was exhibited at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside the front engined V8 California and the mid-rear mounted 458 Italia.
As you well know, FF is the first All-wheel-drive model from the manufacturer. The brutall power from the mighty 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 is transferred to the wheels, through 4RM system, which distributes 47% of torque to the front wheels and 53% to the rear wheels. The brilliant 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 powering the Ferrari 458 Italia has won two prizes at the 2011 International Engine of the Year Awards.
The two awards are in categories - Best Performance Engine and Above 4.0-litre. The awards were received by Jean Jacques His, head of Ferrari powertrain department. The jury has also praised the brutal unmistakable sound of the power unit.

RS Academy, which is one of the best track-driving car clubs, has taken delivery of only the second Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 to leave the factory. The car was taken to victory on its debut outing in the British GT Championship at Oulton Park on April 25th .
458 Italia GT3 is powered by a 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 with 580PS (426 kW) at 9000RPM and 540Nm (400 lb-ft) at 6000RPM with 80% torque available at just 3250RPM. The engine is extremely responsive and builds revs lightningly fast.

Mansory has unveiled tuned version of Ferrari 458 Italia called Siracusa at the Geneva Motor Show.
The vehicle features carbon fiber in all body components and the result is weight-saving of 70kg. The new components are a front apron including air inlets for the front coolers, a new bonnet and side skirts with integrated ducts. The rear window is replaced with carbon blades.

Novitec Rosso has revealed a tuning program for Ferrari 458 Italia. The car is currently in preparation for 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The performance package includes a new carbon-fiber airbox, a high-performance exhaust system made from nickel-chromium-based superalloy Inconel, which is 21 kg (46 lbs) less than the original. There are also a sport exhaust manifolds, sport catalysts and a rear muffler with a sound control flap that can be activated by a button on the steering wheel.

Top Gear are ready with their Christmas Special video, but until then we will have to be pleased with the trailer. The episode's premiere on December 21st, at 8 pm. and on Dec 26th at the same hours.
