Opel has published some exciting news regarding its top-performance Opel Insignia OPC model, which is now available with a six-speed automatic transmission. Fitted with the newly added transmission option, the 325 horsepower (239 kW) OPC ride with all-wheel drive is priced at 48,665 Euro for the four-door notchback, 49,055 Euro for the five-door hatchback and 50,140 for the spacious Sports Tourer variant, all including VAT.

Vauxhall Insignia come with significantly reduced CO2 emission and fuel consumption to the key models in Europe.
The well-known 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine dropped the harmful emissions with 5 per cent on the Sports Tourer. The upgrades are mainly on the engine’s engine management system.

Vauxhall didn’t miss to make the Sports Tourer greener, too. More power, less fuel consumption, less CO2 . Looks like these engines don’t have limits and everything is inside the software. We are much eager to see how an enormous 2.0 liter 160bhp estate car will manage to make 826 miles with one tank of fuel.

Dynamic and passionate driving has a new name at Opel: Insignia OPC. Its 2.8 V6 Turbo powerhouse with 239 kW/325 hp and a massive 435 Nm of torque makes it Opel’s most powerful production car of all time. The high performance Insignia sedans reach a top speed of 250 km/h (restricted) and race from zero to 100 km/h in a mere six seconds. Green shoots continue to sprout on the Opel model line-up: Starting this fall, the especially environmentally friendly Insignia ecoFLEX will be available as a Sports Tourer. The elegant station wagon version of Europe’s 2009 Car of the Year sips in the combined cycle just 5.3 liters of diesel per 100 km and emits only 139 g CO2/km. Vauxhall will use this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil the all-new, 325 horsepower Insignia VXR for the first time in the UK, and provide visitors with the chance to see two stunning historic concepts that have not been exhibited in public for many years.
The high-performance version of this year’s European Car of the Year winner will be displayed in the popular Supercar Paddock throughout the event, which runs from July 3-5, ahead of its official media launch the following week.

Good news for all owners of gasoline-powered Opel Insignia sedans or sports tourers: The new fahrmitgas.de autogas systems, developed in cooperation with Dutch world market leader Vialle, can cut fuel costs by half and simultaneously reduce CO2 emissions by some 12 percent.
